Trish Holmes
I'm Trish and I have been in love with painting since I can remember. My artistic career has ranged from painting murals in a renovated horse barn, to painting house commissions, to being featured in the Pastel Journal for my award-winning pastels, and more recently, painting lovely little watercolours of everyone's favorite furry friend.
When I'm not creating I'm either spending time with family, in my garden, or on the water in my kayak.

Meet Trish
Trish Holmes is a Canadian artist whose love of painting began with a small tin of watercolours gifted to her as a child. That early spark grew into a lifelong creative journey, guided by a deep appreciation for nature and the joy it brings. For Trish, time spent outdoors is more than inspiration — it is a way to recharge and reconnect inspiring creativity in her painting.
Working primarily in pastels for many years, Trish developed a reputation for her sensitive approach to light and colour. Her work has been recognized nationally and internationally, including a second-place award in the Still Life and Floral category of the Pastel 100 competition in 2017, alongside numerous other accolades for her pastel work.
While she has since shifted her focus toward watercolour, Trish carries the same dedication to expressive light and colour into each new painting she creates. Whether capturing the character of a beloved pet, the fleeting beauty of a flower, or the quiet poetry of a natural landscape, her paintings are created with both technical precision and heartfelt connection.
